Her qualifications to tutor your child include:
• currently teaching middle-school English at a California Distinguished School
• master's degrees in instruction-curriculum and reading education K-12
• bachelor's degree in film studies
•working as a script reader for numerous Hollywood studios
• writing and editing as a magazine journalist
• being a mom who understands what parents want for their kids

Target reading strategies to better comprehend fiction and nonfiction texts
Build vocabulary to increase reading with greater fluency and comprehension
Study Latin/Greek roots and parts of speech to increase recognition in word patterns
Improve confidence for reading aloud through practice of rhythm, intonation, and pronunciation
Develop and strengthen writing by honing practices of planning, revising, and editing all types of grade-level essays
Test-prep for class and state assessments
One-on-one or small group one-hour sessions at a nearby library
Summer and afterschool availability
